Based on the design requirements of ASME Section VIII Divisions 1, 2  and 3 and conventional applied strength of material and elasticity techniques, a complete design and analysis of pressure vessels and process columns under all type of loading conditions is well within the design capabilities of Farmer’s engineering department. Loading conditions addressed are; but not limited to:
  • Static
  • Discontinuity
  • Cyclical (fatigue)
  • Transverse Wind and Earthquake (Seismic)
  • Thermal
  • Dynamic
  • Local
  • Internal and External pressures

Plus all of the various pressure vessel components such as supports, flanges, expansion joints (flanged and flued and convoluted), vessel jackets, lifting lugs, special tube-sheets (in both vessels and heat exchangers), and pressure vessel structures that accompany a pressure vessel also fall into our scope of design. Non-circular pressure vessels (i.e.) rectangular vessels are also part of our design capabilities.  Complete designs of API storage tanks to API 650 and 620 standards are also available as are the designs of line, silios and bunkers used for material storage.
